Right now we are working hard on improving the editor in various ways. A debugger (only for python atm) is in the works, number of bugs has been removed and the server is getting more stable.

 Viper IDE is a client-server based multi-developer IDE suited for  developing software over the internet. It features instant
messaging between project members, public realtime chat, syntax highlightning for a variety of languages and extensive and easy to use CVS support. In the future more features will be added.

Download

The server is required but we have a test-server available online,
for more info read the README file.

The client is written in Python and wxPython.
Its cross-platform but not yet tested under Linux.

The server is console-based and runs under Linux.

Server: Viper-server-0.3


Requirements:

Client: Python 2.2 or higher and wxPython 2.4.x.x or higher.
Server: Python 2.2 or higher.
